Description
Breathe new life into ancient Londinium with an interactive, riddle-filled tour of the Square Mile, where London began. It should be no surprise that an area this historic hides many secrets, finding them however can be as frustrating as it is rewarding. Luckily, this trail puts the fun and whimsy back in urban exploration, guiding you to hard to find gems with entertaining clues, then revealing the city's secrets. A modern way to break ancient ground!
Along the way you'll see: St Paul's Cathedral, the remains of the original Roman wall, the Old Bailey, a church whose bells used to chime to signal an execution, Postman's Park, Guildhall, Leadenhall Market, St Dunstan-in-the-East and the Tower of London. All this plus puzzles, pubs and plenty of surprises. For friends, families and colleagues looking to trace London from its origins right through to the modern day look no further than The City!
How It Works
Your team will receive clues on your phones that, once deciphered, will guide you to interesting and scenic parts of the city.The route is walking distance and features optional breaks at great pubs, bars and cafes along the way. The clues require no prior knowledge and come with hints to make the experience something everyone can enjoy.
Please note: Mid way pubs are closed on Sundays on this route, the end pub is still open.
