Description
St Kilda has shifted faces many times over the last two centuries making it a bonafide urban chameleon. Once an indigenous hunting ground, it has gone from a favoured spot of the late-19th century Victorian elite, to a bustling suburb, a red-light district, a bohemian paradise, and it doesn't stop there! What better way to explore these enigmatic changes and the marks they have left on the area than with a puzzle-filled tour?
The Chameleon Lives of St Kilda offers an engaging and interactive exploration of one of Melbourne's most exciting areas. Discover art, history, hidden gems and hallowed highlights, all while enjoying clues with your friends, family and colleagues.
Along the way, expect to see: the City Hall, St Kilda Botanical Gardens, Acland St, O'Donnell Gardens, Luna Park, St Kilda Foreshore, Alfred Square and Fitzroy St. Plus a host of riddles, great bars and cafes, and plenty of surprises. Anyone hoping to delve beneath the surface of this shape-shifting Melbourne marvel need look no further.
How It Works
Your team will receive clues on your phones that, once deciphered, will guide you to interesting and scenic parts of the city. At each of these you will solve riddles, discover facts and unlock your next clue. The route is walking distance and features optional breaks at great pubs, bars and cafes along the way. The clues require no prior knowledge and come with hints to make the experience something everyone can enjoy.
