The Experience

An outdoor escape game that offers an engaging new way to explore Sheffield's secrets. Follow riddling clues as you try to catch a murderous mastermind.

At the same time, discover the hidden corners of the city centre and the former industrial hub that is Kelham Island, their architectural anomalies, stunning statues, great pubs, and plenty of street art.

Will you stop the killer, or will you be forced to survive by other, less heroic means...

The Story

A local resident has been found dead on the banks of the River Don after playing a mysterious game. The only way to catch the killer? Joining the next round.

Assisted by Sherlock Holmes, complete the game-master's fiendish challenges, scouring their words for hints as to their identity. The places they take you, the way they speak, anything could be a clue.

The clock is ticking. Identify them before time runs out or you might be their next victim.

About the game

Your team will receive clues from the killer to your phones that, once deciphered, will guide you to interesting and scenic parts of the city.

At the end of each will be a fiendish riddle, solvable using things you can find in the streets around you. Reply with the right answer to receive the next clue and advance the story.

As you play you will receive information about the killer from Sherlock back at HQ. Use it, along with things the killer lets slip in their messages, to work out who they are and stop them before it's too late.

The route is walking distance and features optional breaks at great cafes/pubs.

The clues require no prior knowledge and come with hints to make the experience something everyone can enjoy.

: Of course! After purchasing you can login to your dashboard, where you can enter your number of teams followed by each team's name and member details. Set up within a couple of minutes.
: Once booked, and you've logged into the dashboard, you'll be able to choose how many teams you'd like for your booking - once submitted you'll then be able to fill in team names and member details straight away.

We recommend a team size around 5, with a minimum of 2 people and around 8 as a maximum.
: You can take extra breaks or come back to your route at anytime. Just continue from where you left off at your own convenience. We can't stop your team clock from ticking, but not everything's a race!
: Yes absolutely, add a phone for every member when setting up the team on the dashboard, or by forwarding them the extra-member join message you received at the start.
: All international phone numbers work with our system, using WhatsApp or Telegram will only use data so make sure you can roam whilst away.

: We appreciate that the service we provide can easily be affected by lots of variables totally out of our control. Things are very dynamic; bank holiday hours, unforeseen road works and other unscheduled interference. If you have any issues on our trail please get in contact with us. : All the trails can be completed with out any prior knowledge without an issue, a perfect way to explore a new city!

: On your adventure you'll reach 'rest stops' where we'll recommend some great local businesses - feel free to enjoy a recommendation, find somewhere else or skip entirely - there is absolutely no pressure to enter or use any of the businesses mentioned.

The game timer will stop during the rest zone so feel free to relax!
: For multiple teams you can start all at once or stagger start times by a couple of minutes - groups organically spread out and overtake throughout the activity. The fastest team may not be the winning group as there are time penalties for wrong answers, a fine balance!
: Absolutely, each team's timer will start when they send 'start' and each team will receive their overall time (with penalties!) at the end for comparison.

If you'd like us to set you up a private live leaderboard for your teams, just ask!
: Maybe. Depending on how busy the route is you might be on the tail of another group, overtaking or getting overtaken. It's a great way to meet other like minded adventurers on the way, don't forget to say hi to each other and get a bit competitive!
