Description
Lose yourselves in the debauched delights of medieval London with this interactive tour of its former pleasure district. Begin in the ancient city before heading south of the river and diving headlong into Southwark, the anarchic district its medieval gentry used to descend upon when looking for a good time. Here, you'll learn of frozen fairs, illicit plays, gambling and the sinister Bishops that used to encourage lawlessness and could be branded the city's first pimps.
Expect to see chewed up artworks, a legendary ship, a historic market, 13th century ruins, an 800 year old cathedral and a steampunk fantasy brought to life. All this plus puzzles, challenges, great pubs and plenty of surprises. All Gone South reveals a side of London the history books don't want you to know about, the perfect trail for anyone looking to scratch beneath the surface of this fascinating city while enjoying a scenic and entertaining stroll along the Thames.
