When you aren’t confined to just one room or building, the world really does become your oyster. No need to look for escape rooms in Central London, Covent Garden, Shoreditch or Soho: with CityDays, the entire suburb is your London escape room, filled with hidden secrets, odd passageways and murky mysteries!

More Freedom: Opening hours or booking slots are a thing of the past. You decide when you play, not us (although we do recommend playing during daylight hours. Some of our clues can be difficult to spot when it’s dark!). Otherwise, it’s entirely up to you. 

Play With Who You Want: Whether you want to bring your whole friendship group along or go it alone, our London escape rooms can accommodate (pretty much) any number of people. For groups of over 8 people, we recommend splitting into teams and going head-to-head. Just reach out if you need a hand! 

Age is Just a Number: Most of our London escape rooms are family-friendly and suitable for people of all ages. Some of our narrative routes contain themes that may not be suitable for very young children. Feel free to get in touch with us if you have any queries about suitability!

You’ll encounter puzzles, riddles, tasks and challenges on our routes that have been designed to get you observing and interacting with your surroundings in a unique way.

How CityDays’ Outdoor Escape Rooms in London Work

Since our London escape “rooms” are held outdoors, they’re “built” slightly differently. After all, since there are no physical barriers to get through or doors to unlock, you might be wondering what the object of the game is…

Well, it’s really very simple. 

You and your team start at a chosen location (depending on which trail you pick). 

From there, you have to complete a set of tasks, puzzles and riddles, deciphering clues to take you to your next location, sent to your phone(s) via WhatsApp. If you don’t give us the right answer, you can’t move on in the game!

When you’ve sent us the correct answer, you’ll be given new clues and challenges to lead you to your next destination. Each location is located a short walking distance away, and may require you to keep your eyes peeled for possible clues along the way…

Once you’ve answered all our clues, visited all the destinations and completed the trail, we’ll tally up your score. This is based on how many correct answers you got, any time penalties you accrued, and how many hints you asked for. 

All you need to play our games is a phone with Whatsapp or Telegram, access to cellular data and a pair of comfy shoes. That’s it!

All of the locations are easily accessible (often located near a tube or bus stop), so whether you’re a local or a visitor, you can easily find the start location for your game and start playing! 

Because our escape rooms in London are held outdoors, you have the luxury of pausing the game whenever you feel like it and stopping for refreshment. We add recommended pubs, cafes and bars along your route so you can stop and take stock - and don't worry, there's no time penalty for taking a break. Simply pause the game, and let us know when you're ready to resume!
