You heard it here first. Line of Duty: Operation Echo, an official live experience of the hit TV show, will be coming to London in early 2027 and it’s being created by us, the CityDays team.
Made in partnership with ITV Studios, Line of Duty: Operation Echo will be your opportunity to solve a case with your own unit of 2-8 investigators. Set on the real streets of London, your investigation will unfold in real time and involve gathering evidence, solving physical puzzles and making crucial decisions that alter the outcome of the case.
At CityDays, our mission has always been to create live, digital and urban experiences that turn ordinary public spaces and conversations into adventures. We’ve taken that up a notch since creating Race Across the World: The Experience and The Traitors: Anywhere, and now we’re turning our attention to the world of corruption, criminal conduct, and cross-examining evidence in Line of Duty: Operation Echo.

What is Line of Duty: Operation Echo?
Line of Duty: Operation Echo is an official live experience of the hit TV show, Line of Duty. In teams of 2-8 players, you’ll join AC-12 in solving a case that you’re in charge of. You can’t watch this investigation, you’re part of it.
The experience will unfold live on the streets of London, and it’ll be up to you to discover where the evidence trail leads next. Prepare to gather evidence, narrow down suspects and solve physical, escape room-style puzzles that immerse you in the world of Line of Duty.
There’ll be no actors and no set locations. Instead, you’ll be assisted by Hastings, Fleming and Arnott via text messages sent on WhatsApp containing leads and snippets of evidence hiding in London’s sprawling streets.
Self-guided from start to finish, your team will traverse 4-5 km of London on foot in search of evidence, suspect leads and the answers to the all-important questions: who’s the culprit, why, and what will you do with the information? All your decisions have consequences for the case.
What’s Different About Line of Duty: Operation Echo?
Line of Duty: Operation Echo is an entirely new venture for us, made in partnership with ITV Studios.
The format will be similar to previous CityDays live experiences by using a blend of technology, physical escape room-style puzzles and cryptic messaging to immerse you in your investigation. This time, however, you’re in charge of getting to the bottom of a gripping case handwritten and created by our in-house creative team.
In essence, Line of Duty: Operation Echo will be a walkable investigation that unfolds across real London streets, with you at its centre. Using WhatsApp as the primary method of communication, you’ll receive clues, puzzles and tantalising pieces of evidence to help you move through the investigation.
Who is Line of Duty: Operation Echo For?
Line of Duty has captivated thousands of fans all over the world, and it is a huge privilege to be the creators of an official live experience that you can take part in.
Whether you’ve followed AC-12 since the beginning or you’re new to the show, Line of Duty: Operation Echo is designed to be enjoyed by everyone, fans and newcomers alike.
The experience will be able to be made step-free and dog-friendly. Tickets will only be available for purchase by adults (18+) and we recommend that the minimum age of participation is 16+.
